shabazz: obama is a “buck-dancing tom”

New Black Panther leader, Malik Zulu Shabazz, unloaded on President Barack Obama during a March 23rd episode of “Black Power Radio.” “We have held back on this negro for a long time,” says Shabbazz, who launches into an ugly racial attack against Obama, referring to him as a “buck-dancing Tom,” and a “terrorist” for attacking Gaddafi. “You should have listened to Louis Farrakhan a long time ago when you were at his table,” Shabazz scolded. Shabazz continued…”What you see in Libya is a big case of police brutality,” and Obama is the “n***** police chief.
Remember him? He's the guy Democrats went to various lengths to try to "defend" against FOX News and their "mission" to play the *the scary black man thing*. To "create a creeping Black Menace, and conflate it with Barack Obama’s America". "All of this makes the NBPP a perfect bogeyman for those who would try to stoke fear of a black President in mainstream Americans, a tactic that has been tried before, and failed. "

He's the guy that ordered that Black Panthers to stand in front of polling places. FOX covered the story, in-depth, because of the case’s dismissal by the Justice Department. "It really started when Megyn Kelly interviewed a DOJ whistleblower J. Christian Adams who had alleged that, among other things, the DOJ has a policy of not pursuing cases if the defendant is black and victim is white." Which is where the Democrats jumped in to defend Malik Shabazz (the guy who praised bin Laden), in order to defend the Obama administration.

I asked Tommy Christopher if he was going to do a story on this video, knowing he interviewed Shabazz during the DOJ story.

"I took a look at the video on a few sites, but I don’t know what the news value of this clip is. I would definitely interview Shabazz again, if I got the chance, but there’s nothing really new in that clip."

"Pimp costumes are racist" is newsworthy, but I guess "Obama is the “n*gger police chief" and "Obama wanted to be the white man's n*gger" isn't. It's funny what gets covered, and what doesn't.

So, I wonder how Democrats feel about Shabazz now? (did they finally get to the bottom of the race card deck?)

I forgot to H/T Treacher for this video. He posted it on FB and I loved it!

geraldine ferraro dies at 75

Geraldine A. Ferraro, who earned a place in history in 1984 as the first woman to run on a major party national ticket, has died, her family said Saturday. She was 75-years-old.

Ferraro, who was born in Newburgh, New York, passed away today at Massachusetts General Hospital, surrounded by her loved ones, a statement from her family read.

The cause of death was complications from multiple myeloma, a blood cancer that she had battled for twelve years, her family said.

Geraldine Anne Ferraro Zaccaro earned a place in history as the first woman and first Italian-American to run on a major party national ticket, serving as Walter Mondale's Vice Presidential running mate in 1984 on the Democratic Party ticket.

My family and I would like to express our sincere condolences to the family of Geraldine Ferraro. When I had the honor of working alongside Geraldine on election night last year, we both discussed the role of women in politics and our excited expectation that someday that final glass ceiling would be shattered by the election of a woman president. She was an amazing woman who dedicated her life to public service as a teacher, prosecutor, Congresswoman, and Vice Presidential candidate. She broke one huge barrier and then went on to break many more. The world will miss her. May she rest in peace and may her example of hard work and dedication to America continue to inspire all women.

"Gerry Ferraro was one of a kind -- tough, brilliant, and never afraid to speak her mind or stand up for what she believed in -- a New York icon and a true American original.

"She was a champion for women and children and for the idea that there should be no limits on what every American can achieve."

"She paved the way for a generation of female leaders and put the first cracks in America's political glass ceiling. For us, Gerry was above all a friend and companion. From the rough-and-tumble of political campaigns to the important work of international diplomacy, we were honored to have her by our side. She was a tireless voice for human rights and helped lead the American delegation to the landmark Fourth World Conference on Women in Beijing in 1995. Through it all, she was a loyal friend, trusted confidante and valued colleague."

hypocrisy, thy name is liberal media

Another few tidbits to add to my ongoingirregular posts about the hypocrisy and biased coverage in the media, and the monotonous and hysterical bashing of FOX and anyone who dares speak out against Obama...

Exhibit A: Muddled Graphics

Did Fox News Misidentify A Japanese Nightclub As A Nuclear Power Plant?

From Johnny Dollar:

The map had an error: Shibuyaeggman is not the site of a nuclear plant. It’s a mangled combination of a Tokyo neighborhood and a night club. The reaction on the interwebs was nearly instantaneous. In the space of less than 24 hours this map turned up on hundreds of websites. Here are a few of the more prominent ones:
  • Huffington Post: Fox News' Japan Map Mistakenly Identifies Nightclub As Nuclear Plant
  • Gawker: Fox News Locates Nuclear Plant in Nightclub
  • Mediaite: Did Fox News Misidentify A Japanese Nightclub As A Nuclear Power Plant?
  • Science Blogs: Fox News Confuses Potential Nuclear Meltdown with Disco Inferno
  • Business Insider: Did Fox News Mistake A Japanese Dance Club For A Nuclear Plant?
There was the usual derisive commentary:
  • Who are they hiring over there? No wonder people who watch Fox News have no idea what is going on in the real world.
  • Like most Republicans, the Fox News crew is so evil that sometimes one forgets that they're also extremely stupid.
  • You're not paying attention. Unlike CNN, Fox doesn't employ reporters or professional researchers, and it shows. It shows during any 5 minutes of broadcasting.
That was a whole lotta FOX bashing just because of a minor error on a screen graphic. I suppose though, should something similar happen at say, MSNBC or CNN, the liberal media and blogs would be all over it, right?
J$: Funny that they should mention CNN. Yesterday, during American Morning, CNN displayed a map...not of Japan, but of an exotic location known as California. And their map just happened to get the locations of two cities wrong--San Francisco and Los Angeles!
It is now well past 24 hours since CNN’s gaffe. That’s more than enough time for this to have percolated all over the interwebs. Yet for some reason, there aren’t hundreds of websites trumpeting this embarrassment. HuffPo, Gawker, Mediaite, Science Blogs, and Business Insider? Oddly, none of them has posted an article about it. That’s quite a coverage gap! A cosmic coincidence? Not exactly.
Good job, Johnny Dollar! Go here for the rest of the article.

I guess it's a good thing FOX didn't put up a graphic of Osama, while talking about Obama....

Exhibit B: Reporting on violence

OK, let's talk about the media coverage of  political *violence*. We know how the Left just loves to paint the Right as a bunch of dangerous, hateful, violent extremists. They even went so far as to blame Conservatives for the Gabby Giffords shooting, and many other acts of violence, many that were actually committed by Leftists and some that didn't even happen (spit-gate) at all. And when it happens on the Left? Do we hear a peep?

Well, someone is finally calling out the Liberal media:

Shame: Ignoring Death Threats to Wisconsin Politicians Is Media Bias by Lee Stranahan
Three questions for you.
  • Do you think of Republicans and the Tea Party as dangerous, violent extremists?
  • Do you think the Wisconsin protests over GOP Governor Scott Walker's move to strip public sector employees of collective bargaining were peaceful?
  • Do you scoff at the right wing notion that mainstream media like the New York Times, the TV networks and NPR have a liberal media bias against the conservatives?
If you answered 'yes' to all three of those questions, then let me ask you one more...

Why isn't the mainstream media talking about the death threats against Republican politicians in Wisconsin?

Try to set aside whatever biases or preconceptions you might have for a moment and ask yourself why death threats against politicians aren't considered national news, especially in the wake of the all too fresh shooting of Rep. Gabrielle Giffords and other bystanders. And there hasn't just been one death threat, but a number of them.

snip

If you read liberal blogs, you might have heard of some of these threats. Indirectly, anyway. Sarah Palin said the rhetoric should be toned down. The threats themselves were ignored and Palin was mocked.

On the other hand, if you read conservative blogs or listen to conservative media, you know all about these threats because people like Bill O'Reilly and Rush Limbaugh and websites like Newsbusters and BigJournalism have not only been talking about the death threats for days now but they've been talking about the mainstream and liberal media ignoring the threats for days.

Ignoring the story of these threats is deeply, fundamentally wrong. It's bad, biased journalism that will lead to no possible good outcome and progressives should be leading the charge against it.

Just before writing this article, I did a Google search and it's stunning to find out that the right wing media really isn't exaggerating -- proven death threats against politicians are being ignored by the supposedly honest media. If you've never agreed with a single thing that Limbaugh, Bill O'Reilly et al have said about anything, you can't in any good conscience say that they don't have a point here. Death threats are wrong and if a story like Wisconsin is national news for days, then so are death threats.

snip

That tone of extreme hostility I experienced brings me back to the death threats in Wisconsin. Frankly, the bile and invective in that threat reminded me of the tone I saw directed at me from many so-called liberals because I committed the heresy of taking a different position from them on the issue of collective bargaining for public sector employees... based on something FDR said.

Is this really what liberalism has come to in 2011?

Since working with Breitbart, my position on political issues hasn't changed but I'd be lying if I didn't say I'm deeply disappointed by the virulent, lockstep attitude I see on the left. My experience in the last few months tells me what I would not have believed possible; on any number of issues (including Pigford, by the way) I've seen liberals act much nastier and with less factual honesty than the conservatives... and this includes on issues where I disagree with conservatives.

Burying the death threat story is a clear example of intellectual dishonesty and journalistic bias.
Go here to read the rest of the article.

Yes. Which is exactly the reason why I bailed on the Democratic party. Most Hillary supporters were subjected to that nastiness three years ago, by Obama supporters, and they just keep getting more and more rabid. And it is why I have moved further and further to the Right.

12 Death Threat Photos Against Gov. Walker and Wisconsin Republicans That You'll Never See in Legacy Media

What’s with all the death threats, libs?

Update: Mediaite and HuffPo got around to doing a piece on the CNN map. Nice work, J$! Mark Joyella noticed that CNN also misspelled San Onofre. Not only that, but they also put San Onofre south of San Francisco/San Diego. It is north of San Diego. I hope all those who left nasty comments attacking FOX are eating a little bit of crow today.

Your Bracket Awaits, Mr. President

This was too good not to post. Image from Iowahawk.
March Madness is back at the White House, and President Barack Obama picked each of the four No. 1 seeds to advance to the Final Four.

For the third straight year, Obama has filled out an NCAA tournament bracket for ESPN.com senior college basketball writer Andy Katz. The president says Duke, Kansas, Ohio State and Pittsburgh will make the men's Final Four, the matchups being Duke vs. Ohio State and Kansas vs. Pitt.

Heck, the Obama administration can't even be bothered to inform the public on what is happening in Japan:

I’m standing here at the White House. I think you have reporters in Japan. You have reporters, including ones here, that get the technical, detailed information on what we know from the NRC, from the Department of Energy.
I Googled "Obama" in News, and these are the current top stories.

The only story about Obama currently posted on memeorandum is Anthony Weiner: Obama Is ‘Not A Values Guy’ about Weiner and other Democrats, criticizing Obama.

If the Obama White House doesn't want to be criticized for "petty" things like the NCAA picks, or vacations, perhaps the only news he generates shouldn't be about parties, NCAA picks, fundraising and vacations.

"Nuclear crisis in Japan, a civil war in Libya and where is the President? Heading for Rio de Janeiro" by David Gardner
Mr Obama has refused to scrap a five-day trip to Latin America that will take him to Brazil, Chile and El Salvador.

Resisting demands that he should remain at home in the White House to deal with the international response to Japan’s nuclear crisis and Colonel Gaddafi’s crackdown on anti-government rebels, the president insists he can stay on top of the fast-moving developments while on the road.

Some Republican critics have complained the sunshine trip symbolises Mr Obama’s lack of leadership at a time of international chaos. Read more.
Mr. Obama has told people that it would be so much easier to be the president of China. Why?
Do they have a better vacation policy?

a miraculous story out of minamisanriku

On NBC’s TODAY this morning, Ann Curry had a happy story to share amid the widespread misery in Japan: an early-morning tweet from a family in the U.S. led Curry to find a family member unaccounted for in one of the country’s hardest-hit areas. Equipped with a photo of the missing relative, a schoolteacher, Curry searched–and found her.

The missing teacher, Canon Purdy, had just returned to Japan on the day of the earthquake–returning to the village of Minamisanriku, which was largely washed away by the tsunami.

Minamisanriku: Japan's Tsunami Ground Zero

"In my 30 years as a war correspondent I have covered more than 20 wars and several major earthquakes, but I have never seen anything on this scale."
