"God bless them for their spontaneity," Pelosi added. "It's independent people coming (together), it's young, it's spontaneous, it's focused and it's going to be effective."
Yet, the url for Day of Rage September 17, 2011, was created 7 months ago (12-Mar-2011 21:45:22 UTC), and was started by Stephen Lerner (SEIU) and Wade Rathke (ACORN)...
That's grassroot and spontaneous? The movement was started by "two of the most respected activists in the country." Two of the biggest Obama supporters around. And *focused*? IS SHE KIDDING?
Don't miss Lee Stranahan's mutli-part series on those behind the movement:
Meet The Anarchist Leaders Behind The ‘Leaderless’ #Occupy Movement – Part One: Lisa Fithian
And: VIDEO EXPOSING HOW ‘OCCUPY WALL STREET’ WAS ORGANIZED FROM DAY ONE BY SEIU/ACORN FRONT – THE WORKING FAMILY PARTY, AND HOW THEY ALL TIE TO THE OBAMA ADMINISTRATION, DNC, DEMOCRATIC SOCIALISTS OF AMERICA, TIDES AND GEORGE SOROS
Remember how Nancy Pelosi called the Tea Party astroturf, and accused them of displaying Nazi images and for portraying Obama as Hitler? Remember her crocodile tears, worried about all the *violence*? Yea...
They used the Larouche group to attack the Tea Partiers over, and over again. Yet, as I have said over and over again, they aren't a part of the tea party. Nor are they conservative. They are from the far left wing.
And what violence was Pelosi talking about? Were any tea partiers ever arrested? They were attacked, they were not violent mobs.
Sunday she repeated the lie about the spit incident, one that has been proven false. And she wasn't even challenged on it.
Not only is the Occupy Wall Street movement astroturf and many are getting paid to be there, hundreds (thousands) have been arrested, they are hurting businesses, cluttering the streets, crapping on police cars, have had mutliple incidence of anti-semitism, violence, and homophobia. And, playing by Democrat rules, racism. There sure is a whole lotta white going on. (I guess that's why they are paying Hispanics to protest?)
They want to promote socialism, and destroy capitalism. I wonder where they ever got that idea?
There was also some bizarre anti-John Lewis behavior. And they even tried to storm the Smithsonian!
'Occupy Atlanta' Silences Rep. John Lewis Via Jazz Hands (best headline, evah!)
Remind you of anything?
H/T Joel Pollak for that hilarious tweet.
The majority of them support Obama, and they want corporate dollars out of politics, yet:
Do they realize Obama broke his promise and refused campaign public financing?
Do they realize he is the benefactor of Wall Street, and like the biggest benefactor of Corporations, ever?
Do they realize, prior to the *Corporations as people* change in legislation, that Companies like GE were donating in more ways than one, by promoting Democrats for office, and Democratic policies?
Do they realize that Barack *Mandate* Obama was (one of/the?) biggest benefactors of health insurance companies?
Obama attacks banks while raking in Wall Street dough
By the end of Barack Obama’s 2008 campaign, executives and others connected with Wall Street firms, such as Goldman Sachs, Bank of America, Citigroup, UBS AG, JPMorgan Chase, and Morgan Stanley, poured nearly $15.8 million into his coffers.Read more.
Wall Street donors contributed $4.8 million to underwrite Obama’s inauguration, according to a Jan. 15, 2009 Reuters report.
So far Wall Street has raised $7.2 million in the current electoral cycle for President Obama, according to the Center for Responsive Politics. Obama’s 2012 Wall Street bundlers include people like Jon Corzine, former Goldman Sachs CEO and former New Jersey governor; Azita Raji, a former investment banker for JP Morgan; and Charles Myers, an executive with the investment bank Evercore Partners.
Some people keep trying to compare this movement to the tea party movement. Sorry, but Occupy Wall Street is nothing like the Tea Party. It is however, everything the Left, for years, accused the Tea Party of being, and more so.
Just came across your blog and wanted to say that it is great!
