i've changed my opinion - amanda knox is innocent

I finished reading the book Murder in Italy a few weeks ago, and based on everything in the book - if it is indeed factual - I just don't see how Amanda and Raffaele were convicted.

Everything I based my guilty opinion on, what I heard and read in the news seems to be false information. These are some things I didn't know, or was misinformed. Amanda and Meredith only lived together for a month, hardly what I would call enough time for a deep hatred to grow and fester. The DNA evidence, where there is any, is so minute or possibly contaminated, or obvious (Amanda's DNA in her own bathroom?) is so weak it doesn't do enough to explain all of the other missing holes.

Patrick Lumumba was introduced into the scenario by the police, not by Amanda, based solely on a text message where she replied, "Ok, see you later. Have a good night." The police pushed the story that Amanda, by writing *see you later* was setting up a meeting later that evening. As we all know, *see you later* is like goodbye or ciao. Amanda's *confession* which is not even a confession was never admitted in court. The police arrested all three suspects, based on some hypothetical theory they insisted Amanda create, and then paraded them through Perugia, sirens and horns blaring in celebration.

Democrats passed the $800 billion “stimulus” package in early 2009 with the idea it would do two things: keep unemployment below 8% and create millions of “shovel-ready” jobs.

Five months later, unemployment leaped to 9.5% and Vice President Joe Biden said it was because the administration “misread the economy.”

Fast forward another 15 months to today and President Obama tells the New York Times “there’s no such thing as shovel-ready projects.”

Democrats and liberals are outraged over some comments made by Paladino the other day including that a Gay Pride Parade is no place for kids (they aren't). My dad’s friend took us to the Gay Pride Parade on Castro in San Francisco when I was 12 (1978 – Harvey Milk’s last parade) and I can tell ya, that was no place for a kid.

Despite Obama pandering to win the Conservative Christian African American vote in SC with the trio of gay bigots, headed by Donnie "God delivered me from homosexuality" McClurkin. (God cured him of homosexuality?)

the wheels are starting to fall off

It seems as though the wheels are starting to fall off the well oiled political machine known as Hope and Change.

In New York City, one of the bluest of blue cities, President Obama could not fill a tiny room, even when organizers slashed ticket prices. Just six weeks before one of the most important mid-term elections the US has seen in decades, and the President can’t find 650 people willing to contribute $100 to hear his speech. Could any Obama supporter have foreseen how far the President’s popularity would have fallen in the short 21 months since winning the 2008 election?
And then he was met by hecklers.

Obama is now having trouble filling seats at his speeches.

With less than an hour before President Obama's scheduled speech, 75 seats remained empty in the recreation center at Cuyahoga Community College's Western Campus. So organizers went around campus and recruited more students to fill the seats.

Now they're actually having casting calls to fill the seats:

He's been popping up in backyards around the country, even having to share the "stage" with dog poop.

Vice President Biden can't help but notice the lack of enthusiasm out on the trail.

“We want to reward people who manufacture things in the United States, in Wisconsin, not to take them overseas to China and to other countries!” he said to a silent room at the event for Democratic gubernatorial nominee Tom Barrett, according to a White House pool report.

He continued, saying, “You’re the dullest audience I’ve ever spoken to," at which point he got applause and laughs.

Heck, even the stage presentations have fallen apart. This is quite a change from his old stage sets.

Perhaps that's why Democrats are getting even more angry, nasty, and violent, striking out and smearing Conservatives.





Maybe if Obama didn't want the wheels to fall off the Hope and Change bus so quickly, he shouldn't have thrown so many people under it.

Talk about hypocrisy. Lou Dobbs and Meg Whitman are both on the receiving end of smears that they knowingly hired illegal immigrants.

Lawrence O'Donnell suggests that Lou Dobbs should have profiled the workers, and asked for their papers - both of which are against the law. And the number one complaint by opponents of the Arizona illegal immigration law.

Perhaps if Dobbs could have racially profiled, and asked all of the workers employed through the contractor for their papers, they wouldn't have been on his property. Of course, then they would have been reported, and possibly deported.

Other than racially profiling, and asking for their papers, how should he control what the company does, and who they hire? Especially when they tell Dobbs that the workers are legal. What should he have done? What is he legally required and able to do?

Racially profile?
Ask each and every worker for their papers?
Not hire those companies because they have Hispanic looking workers?

Same goes for Whitman. She followed the law, she was provided with documents. She was lied to and her maid/nanny provided false documents. Now her opponents in the race in California are using this to try and smear her. Even though she followed the law...



These kinds of smears and attacks are going to result in people not hiring ANY Hispanic looking employees, legal or not.

The Governor's race in West Virginia is heating up. The current Governor, Democrat Joe Manchin, behind in the polls, is making some last ditch efforts to attack his opponent.

Down in the polls, Governor Joe Manchin, D-WV, is hoping he’ll get a big boost from the dust up over the National Republican Senatorial Committee’s “hickey” casting call on behalf of John Raese, R-WV.

“I wouldn’t have been upset if they said we want coal miners and truckers,” he told me. “Those are 2 of the most honorable professions we have- hard-working people. But to cast that in such a disparaging light is just awful. And that does get your blood boiling in West Virginia whether you’re a democrat, republican, or an independent. It should get them fired up.”

Governor Manchin insists he’s never used non-West Virginians in his ads and although this ad controversy involves an ad made by the Republican Party and not the Raese campaign, Manchin insists Raese should take responsibility and apologize for the ad.

“He must apologize,” Governor Manchin said. “I mean, that’s not right. That’s not who we are. And I would hope it’s not who he is.”

Governor Joe Manchin is outraged because a casting company put out a casting call asking for people who look *hickey* - hickey blue collar. Just makes your "blood boil", doesn't it? Hickey? How outrageous!

They should have had a casting call that read something like this:

Seeking bitter folks who cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren’t like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment.

That would have been much better, no?

The Raese campaign replied:

“The ad is ridiculous and I am happy to say that no one with the Raese campaign had anything to do with it."

I guess we should be happy he didn't make an ad calling his opponent a whore.

MSNBC loud mouth Ed "There isn't anything on television or radio that I can't back up" Schultz made some claims on the air yesterday that, try as he might, he just can't back up.

"Despite pictures clearly showing that Saturday's "One Nation" rally had far fewer attendees than August's "Restoring Honor" event, MSNBC's Ed Schultz claimed Monday the crowds were equal in size."

"But they didn't, it's very clear."

Very clear? Let's go to the evidence, shall we? Detective Dick Treacher is on the job:

The One Nation Rally held in DC Saturday consisted of mainly Union organizers, Union members, Socialists and Communist party members. Union members were required to go, and were bussed in, provided with t-shirts and pre-printed signs. They claimed their rally would be larger than Beck's rally (why, I don't know), they claimed aerial photos proved they drew a larger crowd, and here, and they claimed they were about unity, not hate. (LOL!)

Beck's rally was not about hate, Beck didn't force anyone to come, and they didn't bus in union members, organized by 400 different groups. Beck's rally was bigger, and cleaner. Anyway, here is a round up of some pics and vids from the day.
