watch ed schultz lie to his viewer

MSNBC loud mouth Ed "There isn't anything on television or radio that I can't back up" Schultz made some claims on the air yesterday that, try as he might, he just can't back up.
"Despite pictures clearly showing that Saturday's "One Nation" rally had far fewer attendees than August's "Restoring Honor" event, MSNBC's Ed Schultz claimed Monday the crowds were equal in size."

"But they didn't, it's very clear."

Very clear? Let's go to the evidence, shall we? Detective Dick Treacher is on the job:

(click pic)
"Right now you may be shrieking, “But that picture was taken after the rally! Or before! Whichever works!” Well, no. If you look at the full-sized version of that 10/2 pic (courtesy of Nico Pitney), you can see the two big TV screens with a close-up of the woman speaking:

"And if you look at the footage of the rally at the C-SPAN site, you can see that this woman spoke from 12:53-12:59":

"Unless you want us to believe that everybody went home between noon and 1, Crooks & Liars, that’s as big as the crowd got." (Forensics hat tip to CO2 Producer)

This is really nothing new. Schultz lies all the time. He has claimed he doesn't spew hate, falsely claimed the newly released Republican "Pledge to America" doesn't address job creation, screams "Republicans want to see you dead! They’d rather make money off your dead corpse!", claimed he never saw a Bush = Hitler sign, and claimed he could easily rally 300k on National Mall. This is just the latest lie.

Why does MSNBC continue to employ someone who sits there, looks his viewer in the eye and lies?

Perhaps that's why MSNBC changed their tagline to:

Isn't that really just a more polite way of saying:

Because that's what they expect their viewers to do, apparently.

Note to One Nation supporters: If you don't want to be compared to Beck's rally, you shouldn't have spent so much time embarrassingly comparing yourselves to Beck's rally.

H/T Newbusters (they have the transcript, too) and Treacher at Daily Caller, and Mediaite.

UPDATE:

Giving the Story Fewer Places to Hide....Lean Forward?

Are they kidding with that? Where exactly do they think the story is hiding?

Well...considering how many stories they pull out of their collective arse, Lean Forward makes sense.

  1. I'm just soooo curious as to how the "Lean Forward" tag line slipped by all the marketing and corporate types without anyone thinking of the unfortunate jailhouse soapdropping alternative meaning...

  2. Schultz is delusional, as are all the fools on MSNBO. The crowds at the Beck rally were amazing. There were people everywhere the eye could see. The only thing you could see everywhere during the One Nation rally was the trash that those people left everywhere.
