We are heading down to Cabo San Lucas tomorrow morning for a week. We are staying at my brother's house. Isn't it pretty?

Have a great day tomorrow, and see you when we return from Cabo! (It is 95 degrees....)

something that made me giggle and another that didn't

I happened to catch this last night and it made me chuckle.

And this is a good piece from Krauthammer:

"We were able to hold it off with George Bush. The idea that we might find ourselves fighting with the Obama administration over these powers is really stunning."

-- Unnamed and dismayed human rights advocate, on legalizing indefinite detention of alleged terrorists,

the New York Times, May 21

If hypocrisy is the homage that vice pays to virtue, then the flip-flops on previously denounced anti-terror measures are the homage that Barack Obama pays to George Bush. Within 125 days, Obama has adopted with only minor modifications huge swaths of the entire, allegedly lawless Bush program.

The latest flip-flop is the restoration of military tribunals. During the 2008 campaign, Obama denounced them repeatedly, calling them an "enormous failure." Obama suspended them upon his swearing-in. Now they're back.

Of course, Obama will never admit in word what he's doing in deed. Continue here.

And now, this video is full of chuckles, but I don't find it funny...at all.

Congress figures out way to assure the public they’ve read the bills they’re voting on.

our debt is unsustainable

"President Barack Obama, calling current deficit spending “unsustainable,” warned of skyrocketing interest rates for consumers if the U.S. continues to finance government by borrowing from other countries.

“We can’t keep on just borrowing from China,” Obama said at a town-hall meeting in Rio Rancho, New Mexico, outside Albuquerque. “We have to pay interest on that debt, and that means we are mortgaging our children’s future with more and more debt.”

Holders of U.S. debt will eventually “get tired” of buying it, causing interest rates on everything from auto loans to home mortgages to increase, Obama said. “It will have a dampening effect on our economy.”

So says the guy who is giving us that unsustainable debt....

President Obama's budget will produce $9.3 trillion in deficits over the next decade.

Obama's budget will generate deficits averaging almost $1 trillion a year of red ink over 2010-2019.

farrah fawcett - the gal that launched a thousand haircuts

Oh how I, a girl with natural curls, living in a rainy town, wished for that feathered hair.

At least I had her sneakers.

I was on the Dating Game, too and my *dates* were about as cheesy as these guys. haha (Who is that guy she picked, they said he was an actor?)

My dad used to call me Sara Spicket Minor, although at the time I was probably in braces, and glasses, with flipped out semi feathered, semi frizzy hair. HA

My thoughts are with her. She is an Angel and an icon.

dijon-gate hysteria

Which scenario is more ridiculous:

Conservative pundits mock, laugh and poke fun at the Dijon Mustard Gate story...

The Liberal left is in an uproar because the Right poked fun at the Dijon-Gate...

Media Matters: Dijon Derangement Syndrome: Conservative media attack Obama for burger order

Huffington Post: Hannity Attacks Obama For Putting Mustard On His Burger

Crooks and Liars: Latest right-wing-lunatic smear about Obama: Dijongate

Or that the media REPORTED this in the first place???

waterboarding terrorists: out, airbombing innocent civilians: in

The topic of torture and enhanced interrogation has been a hot topic in our country for quite a while. The opinions on what constitutes torture vastly differ, as we have seen in the comments section on blogs. The moral standards on what constitutes right and wrong for torture vastly differ, as they do on abortion and the death penalty.

Some writers on the other blog I write for, no quarter, are absolutely against any type of enhanced interrogation techniques and consider water boarding torture. Others not. But what I find utterly unbelievable is an argument in support of air raids, that kill hundreds of innocent civilians, by people who are against water boarding the mastermind of 9/11.

Ellis Henican just makes absolutely no sense to me with this argument. Waterboarding is a big moral failure, but air raids are ok?

why don't edwards's supporters sue him?

I am (obviously) not an attorney, but if I were, I would file a class action suit against John Edwards, on behalf of his supporters. He knowingly and willingly committed fraud.

Edwards accepted $57 Million in donations, all the while hiding the fact that he had had an affair, and fathered a child. He knew that public knowledge of this affair would ruin his chances to win in a general election, but it didn't stop him from seeking donations.

Even when the scandal leaked in August 2007 as a blind item, Edwards continued with his run for the White House. It is now alleged Edwards used some of those donations as hush money, and he is under investigation. It makes me wonder if he also used those donations to pay for his hotel rooms and romantic dinners....

new trip pics uploaded

I finally added my newest trip photos to my flikr account. These include our trips to France, Austria, Switzerland, and Germany - The Romantic Strasse, Dordogne Region, Wegen, Jungfraujoch, Sarlat, Avignon, and Vienna.

There aren't really any great ones from St. Maxime and St. Tropez. It was too hot to take many photos, and the ones we do have involve swimsuits...

You can view them here.

really?? this is ok?

Why this idiot is still on the air, I have no idea. These attacks are quite reminiscent of the attacks on Sarah Palin. Liberals apparently aren't so liberal are they?

You may or may not agree with her views, but the majority of the people in the country DO agree with her. And she has a right to her views, and a right to express her views. Without personal viscous attacks.

I just can't believe that this is ok. I can not not not not believe that msnbc allows this to continue.
And what do the "feminists" have to say about the attacks on Miss California?

It's funny that they are so willing to personally attack Miss California, but Obama gets off scot free.

Fall in line, or suffer the consequence....
