tax cuts? i guess we will wait and to see...

But, as others are saying, it sounds like Obama's *read my lips* moment.

I'm going to be offline for a couple of days. Franco's mom is leaving Wednesday morning for Seattle, and her husband is sick. She was contemplating cancelling her trip, but we told her we would stay over there for a few days to help my FIL. He has a fever, and bronchitis and nausea.

So, I will be over there, sans internet. Oh the horror! haha
Have a great couple of days!

a new post, but not too much to say...

Hi! I have been working a ton for my brother, and I just went to the grocery store, so I haven't had time to write on my new bloggy blog.

I have been following all kinds of stories, including Amanda Knox, and her trial, news on the economy, the upcoming G20, and Obama firing the GM CEO (I want to know what's in Rick Wagoner's severance package - I just heard it is $20 Million). So, there are lots of things to write about, just not much time.

I have also been practicing with photoshop. Franco found some really cool tools to use, so I have been trying to learn how they work. There are all these tools already set up to give your images vintage looks, and borders, etc. Very cool.

So, since I don't have much time, I will just link to a few stories, that I read today:

This is a surprising one, coming from the LA Times...

Take the Limbaugh Challenge
Liberals who hate Rush Limbaugh -- why don't you actually listen to his show before bashing him?

I don't know why it took so long for her...

Angie Harmon: I'm Not Racist Because I Disagree With Obama
Angie Harmon is not afraid to come out and say she doesn’t like how President Obama is handling the job — but she’s sick of having to defend herself from being deemed a racist.

Things are not going too well for Amanda and Raffaele...

Amanda Knox and Raffaele Sollecito 'seen chatting' on night Meredith Kercher murdered
An Italian tramp has told a court that he saw Amanda Knox and her boyfriend Raffaele Sollecito close to her house on the night British student Meredith Kercher.

I don't know why people continue to be surprised...

Obama's Marijuana Buzz Kill
The formerly cool president could have given a reasoned response to a question about legalizing pot. Instead, he was dismissive and insulted his stoner constituency.

Have a great day! And I promise to get back to blogging and crafting very soon!

welcome to my new blog!

In order to simplify my life, and bring my interests all together, I am starting a new blog...again. I splintered off and created two blogs when I was writing about the 2008 election. But now things are slowing down, so I want to bring my blogs back together.

Having spent so many hours reading and writing about politics lately, I have changed my mind about many things. I decided I needed a fresh start. I also want to get back to writing about Italy again.

I changed the name too. I am approaching yet another birthday, and no longer feel like a *girl*. So, a new name, new colors, new images. A new blog.

I hope you like it.

loom knitting information archived

I decided to remove a lot of the loom knitting information from my sidebar. I am always reading blogs and sites, and if the information is not updated regularly, I get bored with it, and change it. So, that said, I decided to archive a lot of the loom stuff, but leave it easily available.

Some of the bloggers have decided not to loom anymore, but still have lots of great information available, and some just don't update often enough, so I don't want to leave them on my homepage. And some have pop up ads, that I don't like. And this doesn't mean I don't still love these blogs, I just like to read new stuff!! :OD

I will list this post under my *favorite loom blogs* and *helpful loom sites* on my homepage so you can easily find it.

This is a list of blogs that have great looming projects and ideas:

Here is a list of web sites that have patterns, stitches and how to's available:

I try to keep these updated and change them when they become inactive. I love to find fun new blogs and patterns!
